Back to the Basics in 2022

Back to the Basics in 2022

Back to the BASICS… that’s the theme I choose for 2022

This is what we should be focused on in 2022.

The basics create the foundation from which we grow.

Core beliefs to behavior

“To try to change outward attitudes and behaviors do very little good in the long run if we fail to examine the basic paradigms from which those attitudes and behaviors flow.” Stephen Covey

So I say, back to the basics, as we are sailing off course. The fresh start of a new year and the apparent reduction of threat from the global pandemic is an opportunity to reset what has been offset.

1.????“E pluribus unum “– translates “From Many, One”

We once were all excited, we lived in a melting pot. When forming our country, the goal was to “bring together” people from all the colonies. The sum was greater than the parts. ?

Now the media/politicians make every effort to break down the melting pot into groups. This is taking the sum and reducing its value.

This basic premise starts with us looking at our attitudes and behaviors, not others.

2.????"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Let us get back to the basics that restore equality using the norm so eloquently spoken by the Reverend Martin Luther King.

What more needs to be said, but to take this simple statement to live it, at home, at school, at work.

3.????“Put first things first” - Stephen Covey

Take care of yourself and your circle of influence will grow.

We are told to during the airplane safety briefing; if the cabin loses pressure and the masks come down, put yours on first, otherwise you are of no use to others.

These are a few examples of what we need to examine.

As you start this new year – I ask you to consider not a resolution but an examination. Attitudes and behaviors will change coming from your inner values – not the platitude of a Resolution.

Wishing you a very Happy Healthy New Year!

A great reminder about our own conduct. What adds to our society well being, honesty, caring, assisting others. I've learned new lessons starting my own company, being an executive of a well recognized brand was a privilege, but most lessons have been learned falling and getting up as one tries new ideas, new businesses. In the process you learn how important each individual really is, color, ethnicity has no importance except to ignorant, stupid people like Donald Trumpo. Let's take Larry's words to heart and let's add to the whole while not losing identity, perspective, goals, vision. Happy New Year, there are so many on this network I respect and love. Ciao, la bella vita is here if we allow it

What has happened? Agrees to your post back to basic because the more advanced in technology, the more I saw a deteriorating character.
