The International Chambers of Commerce Christmas Luncheon on December 6, 2024, was a great success, drawing over 150 attendees. Hosted by the British American Chamber of Commerce Ohio along with the collaboration of the Collaborative Chambers Alliance , and the French American Chamber of Commerce - Ohio , Swedish American Chamber of Commerce -- Ohio , and Greater Cleveland Chinese Chamber of Commerce .

In addition to business and corporate attendees, it also welcomed distinguished guests, including state representatives, a county commissioner, three mayors, a consul general and honorary consuls from Ireland, Slovenia, Hungary, and Lithuania, and leaders from organizations such as the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and JobsOhio .

Held at Cleveland’s Windows on the River, the luncheon offered a stunning view of the skyline and a variety of international drinks, from Chinese beer to Irish whiskey.

The keynote speaker, Sushan Demirjian , Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Small Business, Market Access, and Industrial Competitiveness, discussed global trade trends and the growing importance of small businesses in the global market. She later led a Round Table with manufacturing leaders, exploring ways to foster collaboration and innovation. The event highlighted Cleveland’s key role in international business and trade.

Become an ITAC Advisor

ITAC members are appointed jointly by the Secretary of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative (USTR). Appointments are made at the re-chartering of each ITAC and periodically throughout the four-year charter period.

Advisors have direct access to policymakers at Commerce Department and the Office of USTR. In such capacity advisors assist in developing industry positions on U.S. trade policy and negotiating objectives.

The role of our private-sector advisors is increasing as the Administration pursues a number of multilateral, regional, and bilateral trade negotiations.
