BABOON'S QUEST FOR GREATNESS

‘These chaps must be possessing a memory like that of a fish,’ said Turtle to his friend. ‘Just the other day, they almost lost their friend in the river and now they are already competitively jumping from one tree to the next,’ he continued. The first to go was Baboon, as the leader showed the others that he could jump more than any other participant. The others followed him closely trying their best to outshine Baboon. This went on until the last participant jumped. But as usual, there were those who needed a second chance to prove themselves.

Unexpectedly, the last participant accidentally missed a branch and fell to the ground with a great thud. Thud is all everyone heard. He lay on the ground for what seemed like forever. ‘Oh no. Mariko is fatally injured and his life could be in danger,’ said one of the gang members. Everybody was freaking out and concerned at the same time about Mariko. ‘What have we done to our friend Mariko. He is such an awesome fellow and we really love him.’ After what seemed to be too long, he finally gained consciousness and with the help of his friends they were able walk back to their home although with a lot of difficulty.

This made them to realize that, they were endangering their lives by engaging themselves in these kinds of games. They therefore decided that they should look for another way they could prove their bravery, instead of endangering and putting their lives at risk.

Who said that these chaps were even serious? Their thought process was easily changed like that of ?a light switch. After a few days they were seen marauding around the jungle neighborhood showing off to everyone how brave they were. They had no respect for the elderly. In fact they were heard hulling insults at their elders whenever an opportunity arose. Other animals in the jungle were just fed up with their torments.

The ants were one of the animals that were highly affected by the gang’s notorious habit. They would be found digging in anthills looking for ants to devour. With that the ants approached Porcupine to help them get back to this notorious gang that was causing them harm day in day out.

Not long after their meeting did Porcupine meet face to face with the infamous gang. ‘Where are you going Spikesman,’ cajoled Baboon. A hearty laughter could be heard from the rest of the gang members.?
