Babbel stands with Ukraine

We are currently witnessing a terrible war and aggression brought upon Ukraine. As I write this from Berlin, we see tens of thousands of refugees arriving daily, with rockets detonating less than 1000 kilometers away. These pictures take me back to 2015 - when Berlin was already a destination for thousands of refugees fleeing Syria. And just as we did then, Babbel will act.
As a language company, we believe in mutual understanding. We believe in the power of exchange across cultures. We believe in shared values and experiences that bring us closer together.?
The Babbel team is working hard on several initiatives, which we hope will make a meaningful difference in the current situation. While many are still in the works, we can announce the following:
We have opened Babbel’s courses for Ukrainian refugees with existing knowledge of one of the languages we currently offer (e.g. English) to learn the languages relevant to them (e.g. German and Polish).
Our team has started creating specific content in Ukrainian on our Babbel Magazine, outlining tips and insights for your start in Germany and Poland. We will continue to develop content for people hosting and welcoming refugees.?

We are currently working on developing courses in the Ukrainian language for Ukrainian natives to learn German, Polish, or English. We hope to make these courses available in just a few weeks which will be free of charge.

2 年This is a great news! Thanks for organizing that. The Syrian war has been started for more than 10 years, and there are many other refugees have to fled to other countries for different difficult situations. Is Babbel also going to offer help to those people as well? Thank you very much!
