Meet the BABA. Yes an actual Himalayan baba who lives in the caves and meditates.
Undoubtedly the most AWESSOMMEEEE experience of my life. This happened when I went to this Baba’s cave. A cave inside a cave inside a cave. (3 caves)
Stunning. I never knew people lived such lives and to experience meditating in that was mind blowing. I didn’t believe it at the start. And it was no more than an adventure trip for me.
NO SOUND. NO LIGHT AND NOBODY
I went inside the last cave for which I had to crawl through two caves. It was pitch dark. Just me with myself. Stripping away of all identity and no option but to be yourself. I was fucking scared to enter and be alone. No one would know if anything was to happen to me. My friend forced me and with a lot of fear gathered strength.
Time stood still there
I was uncomfortable as there was nothing to do. Took lot of time to sink into nothingness. When I finally settled an image came to my mind.
I am standing on a stage with red saree receiving an award with all my loved ones with me and saying to the entire world
“ If I can, You can”
I relieved that moment again and again until two other words came up. Something that I was denying for a very long time “Senior Accountant”.
I was so nervous about everything that I was denying the fact that I was going to start my corporate life and to accept it as a major achievement. I was questioning as to what I did to deserve this post. I was grateful and nervous at the same time and hence didn’t share it with anyone.
The same feeling when I became a CA. Until I didn’t share my happiness it just didn’t exist.
There were people who left their corporate jobs and came to rishikesh and here I was doing the exact opposite. Finally took pride in it.
Babas home actually helped me find my home within me.
