People in the B2B space tend to forget that they are all B2C consumers as well. 

The B2C customer experience shapes expectations about the B2B one, because that’s the everyday reality of most of our lives (assuming you live in a consumer economy and are being constantly bombarded by adverts for shit you don't need that will [insert hyperbolic gushing] your life). 

And yet it's incredibly rare that a B2B business delivers anything close to B2C experience. What’s the key difference?

Faster adoption of new technology.

Maybe it's part brand FOMO, part marketer FOMO, part total BS, but trying new things faster drives change and iterative improvements
