Well, ONE MORE NEWSLETTER!
Yes, that's exactly what I had also thought and hence, I was holding off from creating one. After all, there are many gurus and real experts out there who post content more frequently than me and also more valuable than mine.
But then there were many triggers that motivated me to start this.
- Over my professional experience, I have realized there is a lot of demand for marketing roles in the software industry in India (services?+ products/SaaS). But this part is often ignored or barely covered in our B-School curriculums. That means that a lot of passing grads aren't really ready for the world of SaaS marketing.
- Given the vast investments, funding as well as global acceptance of Indian SaaS as well as increase in remote working, these job opportunities are only going to go up. So why not try to help the next batch of students as well the bunch of junior / early stage marketers to choose their paths, understand various nuances of B2B marketing and help them?
- I received a lot of great feedback for my posts. The audience felt that these are real gems but are hard to go back and find them when I create them as organic posts.
- Finally, a lot of content out there isn't specifically meant for entry level B2B marketers, it's easy to get lost in a maze.
- I wanted to be of some help specially to marketers from an Indian context. The world and context is very different for similar marketers from the U.S. Indian marketers might not be in similar shoes as they tend to be in the back-office (unless India is a big focus geo) - right from being close to target audience, proximity to the field - sales, customer success as well as exposure to prospects, customers and partners.
With all these thoughts I thought of kicking off this newsletter which will essentially be a mashup of my well-performing posts as well as upcoming new topics.
While it's primarily meant for the entry level B2B Indian software marketer, I am sure that those with more years behind their careers too might enjoy some of these.
So taking a leap of faith and trying this out.
BLESS ME WITH SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT! :)
