Azure Online Live Training
As many of you know I have been consulting and training people on Microsoft Azure for the last two years and have been an active MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) for the last 15.
Online Live Training (teaching a live online class) is something I have used many times to deliver training and to me it always seemed as if just translating the experience from a Classroom to a Virtual Space required more than just a webcam and a Shared Desktop.
Btw, there is nothing wrong with using those two tools, I think they are invaluable to deliver an online class, especially since a lot of what we do is inside a code editor or a command prompt.
The only problem is that in my experience most students I have taught are not excited at the prospect of staring at a computer screen with little interaction for 8 hours straight, which is how a lot of Online Classes especially in the Microsoft Certified space are delivered. You can do a lot of things to spice up the class, but in the end, it’s very hard to keep someone focused for 8 hours listening to someone else remotely. Contrast that experience to attending a physical class, the physical interaction, the nonverbal communication and the feedback loop are very different in an online environment.
Which has led me to my first post in LinkedIn: I am starting a new series of Online Classes trying to improve on the experience that people get when they go through Online Live Training.
There are many tools available today that weren't available a couple of years ago that improve how a class can be delivered online. You’ve probably heard about Lightboards, they are amazing at being able to give the ability to explain topics online while giving the possibility to face the students and explain some topics on a whiteboard like surface.
We have also Whiteboards that allow you to share whatever you are working with remote users and save whatever is being drawn on the surface along with using HD video with semi pro cameras to make that connection more real.
So I have started an online training company and I have scheduled our first online class for December 4th. The format will be 4 hours daily for two weeks in a row. The objective is to get immersed in the main Azure Building Blocks and to acquire the skills to be effective on the job and to be able to get certified with the MCSA Cloud which definitely will help your career prospects.
We are scheduling this class for 4 hours daily for two weeks in a row and right now we have two open classes, one in December and one in February 2018.
My company Tek Supply is a Microsoft Certified Partner in Cloud Solutions with the Learning Competency, so we are able to offer Microsoft Official Curriculum along with Exams and Practice Tests. To learn me more DM me or email [email protected] to get more info and a special offer.

6 年Thanks Jeff, I will be posting videos on this experience later on, the goal here is to make it more dynamic than what I have experienced before.
Digital Go-To-Market Specialist and Startup coach. I talk about customer discovery, analytics for decision making and creating messages that resonate.
6 年I am sure you’ll be able create a dynamic and engaging online course Rafael. Knowing how engaging and interactive your physical classes are you have a good reference platform. Allowing students to pause video and keep hands on keyboards is a step in the right direction. Also I would encourage sidebar discussion for more personal interaction without disrupting others.
