What is Azure Event Hub?

Azure Event Hubs are Microsoft’s answer to the rapid rise of the “Internet of things”. Thousands of ip-enabled devices generating millions of events per second. Think of Azure hubs as a titanic “postal service” routing millions of messages exactly where they need to go without dropping a letter.

Who is Event Hub For?

What Technology Supports Event Hub?

There are two message protocols Azure event hubs make use of: HTTP(S) and AMQP 1.0. This means that any HTTP(S) compliant device can submit messages to the event hub, which is of course almost every IP-enabled device. Event hubs are built upon the .NET framework and is part of the Azure service bus assembly.
