Azure Cloud Technical Roles

Azure Cloud Technical Roles

An Azure cloud position requires a combination of technical and soft skills that enable you to design, develop, deploy, and manage cloud applications and services on Microsoft Azure. Some of the skills that are essential for an Azure cloud position are:

- Azure Fundamentals: You should have a solid understanding of the core concepts and services of Azure, such as cloud computing, Azure architecture, subscriptions, resource groups, virtual machines, storage, networking, security, identity, governance, cost management, and support

- Azure Development: You should be proficient in one or more programming languages that are supported by Azure, such as C#, Java, Python, Node.js, or PowerShell. You should also be familiar with the Azure SDKs, tools, and frameworks that enable you to build, test, debug, and deploy cloud applications, such as Visual Studio, Azure CLI, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid

- Azure Data and AI: You should be able to work with various data sources and services on Azure, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Service. You should also be able to apply data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to extract insights and create solutions from data

- Azure Infrastructure: You should be able to design, implement, and manage the infrastructure components and resources on Azure, such as virtual networks, load balancers, VPN gateways, firewalls, virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup

- Azure Security: You should be able to secure your cloud applications and services on Azure by following the best practices and guidelines for cloud security, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, identity and access management, threat protection, compliance, and governance

- Azure DevOps: You should be able to apply the principles and practices of DevOps to your cloud projects on Azure, such as agile methodology, continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, continuous monitoring, and continuous feedback. You should also be able to use the tools and services that support DevOps on Azure, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans, Azure Artifacts, Azure Monitor, and Azure Application Insights

- Azure Architecture: You should be able to design and architect scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, using the Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Azure Reference Architectures. You should also be able to evaluate and compare different Azure services and technologies, and choose the best ones for your specific requirements and scenarios

- Cloud Native Development: You should be able to develop cloud native applications on Azure, using the principles and patterns of cloud computing, such as microservices, serverless, event-driven, distributed, and resilient architectures. You should also be able to leverage the benefits and features of cloud native development, such as scalability, elasticity, availability, performance, and agility

- Soft Skills: You should have the soft skills that are essential for any professional role, such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and learning agility. You should also be able to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the cloud industry, and keep yourself updated with the latest trends and innovations on Azure

These are some of the skills that are required for an Azure cloud position. However, depending on the specific role and level of experience, you may need to have more or less skills than the ones listed above. You can also check the official Microsoft website for the Azure training and certifications that can help you validate and enhance your Azure cloud skills. I hope this helps. ??
