Several announcements were made in the field of Conditional Access during Microsoft Ignite. One of these is creating a new conditional access policy based on a template.
In this example I will create a new conditional access policy based on an identity template. Choose "Identities" and click "Next".
I'm going to create a new policy so that Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is enforced for all guest users. Choose the option "Require multi-factor authentication for guest access". In case you want to use a different name for the policy, you can change it at "Name your policy". With "View policy summary" you can view further details of the policy. Choose "Next".
Check the settings and then click "Create".
As you can see the policy has been created. By default, new policies that are created on the basis of a template are created in "Report-only" mode.
This makes it even easier for administrators to create conditional access policies.
Note: Be careful when implementing conditional access policies. Test new policies thoroughly before putting them into production.
