Azerbaijan - An Eye Opener
Does a geographical place actually belong to anybody in the true sense? I know that this is a cliched question but I ask this from a completely apolitical stand. Forgive me for this perspective on such grave issues as “territorial disputes” but I have a predominantly business mind that is trained to increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase profitability, not only for my clients but for my own organization as well. On a business trip recently to Baku, Azerbaijan, I felt the magnanimous absence of the revenue generation and business growth that would have been possible without the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. A conflict, whether within family or between countries, just makes wealth erosion inevitable, blocking a source of revenue forever. Victims of a conflict are made to settle for small cakes instead of a large cake with a percentage for each. Cumulatively the large cake equals 11 VS the small cakes equal 2 in the 1+1 equation! I do believe that huge energy should be put into discussions to ensure conflicts do not continue and erosion of wealth does not happen.
