Ayurvedic health promotion, disease prevention and treatment has much to offer the modern world. It is slowly making a come back in India and other parts of the world. Ayurvedic nutritional guidelines are one of the most promising aspects of this system of medicine, as well as the integration of mind and body. Yoga is much more known around the world than its cousin practice of Ayurveda. Ayurveda literally means knowledge about life, as it includes many suggestions for how to live a healthy life.
An Ayurvedic conference is coming to Vancouver over the long weekend in May. I hope you can join us. Here's the conference info:

In my PhD thesis on Ayurveda and Canadian health policy, i cited Dr Vasant Lad many times. He will be the keynote for this conference. Yours truly will also be speaking.
The conference will be an exciting opportunity to discuss how we can improve mental and physical health for all.
