Ayurveda Wearable: Not just fitness, but your journey to Wellness.

Ayurveda Wearable: Not just fitness, but your journey to Wellness.

Fitness trackers, Smart watches have become prevalent in the society over the years, and smart Glasses, VR/AR headsets, Belts, Shoes, etc. will get added very soon. It is predicted that wearables will only continue to grow not only in popularity but also in usability. Study predicts that by 2025 each one of us is going to wear (or insert) at least 10 sensors on/around our body.

I want to make sure, one of them is Ayurveda-based sensor...

Today's wearables are helping to improve health and fitness, and collecting lot's of other data to monitor and solve medical problems - Chronic health conditions are financially and emotionally costly. Wearables can empower users to better engage in self-care, family-care and the entire health ecosystem. However, even after billions of data samples are collected and analyzed by existing smart watch/fitness band giants, following questions are still unanswered :

  • Is HRV data recorded by the optical sensor sufficient?
  • Is data really capturing the inner health information of the user?
  • Is data analysis synchronous with circadian rhythm?
  • Is data analysis capable of giving indication about non communicable disorders?
  • Is data analysis capable of shading light on physical as well mental wellbeing?

I think, the answer to the above questions is NO. Something is missing and that something is the power of personalization, power of subtle & precise patterns of human signals, power of the location where the real information is available - which has been used by Ayurveda for the last 5000 years to understand what could be the imbalance in the person with respect or self and nature.

We at Govt's DSIR recognized Atreya Innovations Pvt. Ltd. have tackled these questions through research and have been successful in finding answers to most of them. Our patented Nadi Sensor records the pulse precisely on wrist to provide useful information of 22 Ayurvedic parameters. Ayurveda doctors have validated and acknowledged the the efficacy of our commercially available Nadi Tarangini's pulse reports.

On today's auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, very happy to inform that we are bringing the same patented Sensor technology based Ayurveda's personalized experience in the wearable format.

Stay tuned for the next article for more details ...

Nice article would like to read more... Ayurveda and Yoga also emphasize of looking into your inner being...(ability to listen to your own body) and sort of training your own body sensors. Question is how you can leverage external sensors without loosing ability of your "Self sensors"?

Yeah, Aniruddha, quite a few years ago I had written to you, but those were the days when I was being very heavily "follow"ed up, in real life, esp. by Times of India, RSS people, and pro-Modi people, esp. in IT industry and IIT Bombay and Pune, and California, trying, as it were, to ruin my life. Looks like they even succeeded, to a great extent. [Guys who (i) I met online and (ii) belonged to this camp, and (iii) didn't try to treat me bad were too rare ... OK, names available on request.] As to you, you didn't respond to my email at all. ... I had ideas concerning this particular idea on which you worked (which I had independently thought of anyway), esp. on signal processing and all... Back in 1988, I had achieved a first in the world in detection of certain defects in P/M parts using eddy current technique (I don't even bother to mention it on my CV), and I thought I could suggest you something. I could have worked, purely out of enthusiasm and interest (back then) on some part of this topic, w/o pay. But, as I said, you had not at all responded. [Yes, I happened to have been born in a 96 Kuli Maratha family, if that matters --- in the past, it *has*.] But anyway, I am not morose seeing you succeed. So, there. --Ajit
