Ayrton Senna portraits by Lorenzo Benetton
When I finished the first version of my "Ayrton portrait 1" I was surprised by myself. It took only some hours to draw a first draft of it but the same amount to reach the "right" face expression I wanted by changing a bit of a nuance here and a bit there overall. I couldn't believe I was able to get it : He was REALLY looking at me with a mixture of sadness and a bit of a smile. I admit I was excited. If you want to feel the same emotion at home just write me or click the link below.
Then I decided to add a second version with him in action at one of his preferred circuits, Montecarlo, where he won a record of 6 times. Here you can clearly see his eyes inside the helmet in total concentration.
These 2 artworks will be exposed next May 1st at Imola to commemorate this legendary pilot and man.
