Ayr United North Stand marks an important milestone for the club and Denham Youd

Denham Youd are a chartered Architects practice based in Ayr, who have an ambition to improve communities close to our heart.

As a local practice with Ayrshire roots, Denham Youd are thrilled to have been working alongside Ayr United Football Club over the last 5 years; a team that they feel strongly about and shares their community values. The practice’s collaboration with the club began with the Somerset Hub, which opened its doors in late 2021. The project, delivered together with Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd and Clancy Consulting is proving invaluable to the club, the staff and the community. The facility has provided an events space that a variety of groups benefit from and the purpose built shop and offices provide a modern, base for the club to run their operations.

Following the success of the Hub, the North Stand project was developed to improve the existing facilities at Somerset Park by providing a covered roof over the standing area, additional seating with pitch side views and an enhanced hospitality offering.? As the club prepares for the much-anticipated completion of the North Stand, it marks an important milestone for the club and Denham Youd.
