AXA General Insurance (hereinafter referred to as AXA Korea) announced on the 26th that it held an educational program to prevent financial phishing for the disabled to commemorate Information Security Month in July.

As a part of AXA Korea's ESG initiatives, the program is designed to provide education on the prevention of various financial crimes for the disabled who are vulnerable to financial fraud, and to improve their ability to better handle non-face-to-face financial transactions.

Accordingly, AXA Korea provided an educational booklet on the “prevention of financial phishing scams" with easy-to-understand contents produced by the non-profit organization Peach Market for people with disabilities in the Yongsan Welfare Center for the Disabled. In addition, it will provide PCs with eye-tracking mouse software to improve access to information for the most severely disabled. Furthermore, summer bedding sets and portable handheld fans were also delivered to help overcome the sweltering summer.

Guillaume Mirabaud, CEO of AXA Korea, said "amidst the growing number of financial fraud cases such as voice phishing, we have prepared a prevention education program to meet the needs of the disabled, who are vulnerable to financial crimes." He added, "as a lifetime partner, we will continue our activities to make a happy life together with the local community.”

AXA Korea continues to carry out customized ESG activities for the underprivileged in the local community. Last year, AXA Korea donated care packages to help with quarantine, rehabilitation, and meals for people with severe disabilities in Yongsan-gu. It also carried out a transportation cost support program that allowed people with disabilities who needed to visit the hospital to take dedicated call taxis. On the Day of People with Disabilities this year, AXA Korea also provided support such as the installation of wheelchair dashcams and battery exchanges for low-income people with physical disabilities or brain lesions and delivered donation products such as neon safety vests for traffic safety.
