What is AWS & What does AWS stand for?
AWS (Amazon Web Services) was launched in 2002 and AWS cloud was launched in 2006, an idea that Amazon executives did not expect to take off and become the superpower it has. Offering more than 200 fully featured services globally AWS offers scalable options for companies that hail as startups to government agencies and large enterprises. This is possible because it uses IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and packaged SaaS (Software as a Service). AWS was one of the first to be offered on a pay-as-you-go basis and was built by Amazon to handle its services and operations, some of those services include, Data Management, Migration, Analytics, Storage Database, and Computing to name a few.

AWS offers 11 certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and more listed by Cloud Academy here, where they are broken up into foundational, associate, professional and specialty categories.
