Hello Cloud Learners,
Hope everyone is doing good and keeping well.
In recent days, many people wanted to start/change their career into Cloud computing. Check out my 6 months plan here (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/roadmap-your-career-aws-logeswaran-vinayagam/?trackingId=VWT22UiaqzGxtHvQBknSnA%3D%3D)
Lets start, Many of us have different views from different people and somehow they decide to start learning cloud computing (Any public cloud providers)
How to choose the right one for your career. This is the big doubt in their mind. Hope this article will give some relief about selecting which public providers.
First of all, Do you drive car ? If yes definitely you will be having driving license. Ok lets come to the point, do you have any specific driving license to drive specific brand car ? Of course the answer is big noooooo.
Same applied here, it doesn't matter which vehicle you drive only you should know how to drive a car. Yes, you should know THE CLOUD COMPUTING.
In case your organization uses specific cloud provider lets say, then it's very simple start with AWS.
In other scenario, based on your skills you decide which career path you should go let's say If you are database developer then start with foundation certification and focus for DB specific certifications. In case you are much strong in programming then go with System administrator or Solution architect. (Be it any kind of role, basic programming should be fair enough)
In market, we have so many online learning portals to do upskilling (like A cloud guru, Cloud Academy etc.,) but it's better always start with free resources like (YouTube, AWS Skill Builder, Microsoft Learn etc)
Once your foundational cloud knowledge is good then go for certifications and do more hands on (with some free trial period).
Be active !! Be active !! on LinkedIn to see the job market trend of public cloud providers, connect with more recruiters and you will be having more visibility to get hired.
If you started learning something, do share in the social media like (LinkedIn, Medium, GitHub, dev.to and personal website) If you want to create your resume without any cost do refer here (https://dev.to/gvlogeswaran/how-to-create-personal-resume-website-completely-free-3gag)
