AWS Skill Builder Subscription Steps

We have heard about the skillbuilder website and the amazing learning that is available at our fingertips. Some of it is for free while for other trainings (labs and hands-on) we need to subscribe.

In this article I am going to provide a step by step sequence as to how to go about activating your subscription and then retaining it.

Pre-Requisite:

You have an AWS account and it has credit card setup as the default payment method.

Step 1: Login to the skillbuilder website (https://skillbuilder.aws) using your AWS Builder ID.

If you do not have an AWS Builder ID, you can create it using the online web help available on the website.

Step 2: Click on the subscriptions tab at the top of the page. Now this page displays

Step 3: Click on the Monthly Subscription section subscribe button. This page opens up.

Step 4: Now click on the "Continue to AWS" tab. This shows a prompt

Step 5: Now since i already have an account , i will click on the first option and sign-in to my AWS account. Once logged-in it will redirect back to this page and it will refresh the page as follows

Step 6: Scroll down and click the "subscribe" button. The page refreshes and shows you that your subscription is active.

Step 7: The most important thing to do now is to login into your AWS Account after 5/10mins and see that you will have an invoice pending for this amount USD 29.

IF your invoice is not processed then you may have to manually go and make the payment.
