Matt Garman

AWS CEO Matt, who joined Amazon in 2006, is a member of the company's S-team. He has held key leadership roles, including SVP of Sales, Marketing, and Global Services and VP of EC2 and Compute Services. As one of AWS's first product managers, he played a pivotal role in launching its initial services. Before Amazon, Matt worked in product management at early-stage internet startups.

Matt began by highlighting AWS's strong commitment to startups, emphasizing its support for over 280,000 startups worldwide. With nearly two decades of experience and a proven track record of helping countless founders, AWS empowers startups to turn their transformative ideas into reality, regardless of their growth stage or funding level.

Compute Services

Matt highlighted that AWS offers a broader range of compute services than any other cloud provider, enabling businesses to choose the most optimized solutions for their unique workloads and scaling requirements. Graviton4 and Performance Impact

Matt explained the strength of Graviton4, emphasizing its significant performance improvements over previous generations. Graviton4 processors offer enhanced efficiency and power, making them an ideal choice for demanding workloads. This advancement demonstrates AWS's continued focus on delivering high-performance, cost-effective solutions that can drive greater value for customers across various industries.

Matt shared how Graviton processors have helped Pinterest achieve remarkable results, including a 47% reduction in costs and a 62% decrease in carbon emissions. By migrating to Graviton-powered instances, Pinterest significantly improved efficiency while driving down operational expenses and contributing to its sustainability goals, showcasing the dual benefits of cost optimization and environmental responsibility with AWS's innovative compute solutions.

Strategic Partnerships: NVIDIA and AWS

Matt highlighted AWS's 14-year collaboration with NVIDIA, which has been instrumental in advancing AI and machine learning capabilities. This long-standing partnership has enabled AWS to offer advanced GPU-powered services, empowering customers to accelerate their AI workloads and innovate more effectively. The collaboration continues to drive progress in cloud computing, helping businesses harness the full potential of AI technologies.

Benoit Dupin, Sr. Director, Machine Learning and AI, Apple

Benoit Dupin, Senior Director of Machine Learning and AI at Apple, mentioned that Apple has been collaborating with AWS for a decade and utilizes Graviton3 and Inferentia2 for its operations.

Lori Beer Highlights Tech

Lori Beer, Global CIO of JPMorgan Chase, took the stage. As a member of the company's Operating Committee, Lori oversees JPMorgan's global technology systems and infrastructure. Managing a $17 billion budget and leading over 63,000 technologists, she supports the firm's retail, wholesale, and asset & wealth management businesses. Additionally, Lori sponsors JPMorgan's Women on the Move Business Resource Group.

Lori Beer discussed how JPMorgan Chase has evolved its business by integrating AWS services. By leveraging AWS, the firm has enhanced its technological capabilities, enabling greater efficiency, scalability, and innovation across its diverse financial services.

Andy Jassy ( Surprise Surprise !!!)


President and CEO of Amazon, took the stage to discuss the impact of generative AI across various Amazon services and industries. He highlighted advancements in Alexa, Rufus, Amazon Lens, Sizing, and Prime Video, showcasing how generative AI is transforming customer experiences and driving innovation in each of these areas.

Andy Jassy gave a sneak peek into future models, showcasing upcoming advancements in generative AI.
