Generative AI Day - We are hosting live, in-person Generative AI Days in 15 cities across the US, along with a virtual day. The events are designed to give you insights into Generative AI that you can use to take your applications and solutions to new heights. You will get to meet industry experts, go hands-on with Amazon Q and other GenAI services, learn about the latest advancements and trends, and network with like-minded professionals.

Edge Computing with AWS - My colleague Sean Howard let me know that his new book, Edge Computing with Amazon Web Services , is now available. Here's an excerpt from the description:

Video Summarizer App - My colleague Ebrahim (EB) Khiyami messaged me about his cool new Video Summarizer App ("I Summarize and Make Long Youtube Videos Conversational"). You simply enter the URL of a YouTube video and will get a summary back in seconds. But that's not all - you can actually chat with the summary and ask questions! I summarized a 3D printing video and asked about the first step:

ISC 2024 HPC Tutorial - The AWS High Performance Computing (HPC) Specialist SA team recently conducted a full-day tutorial at ISC 2024 and the lab content is now available for you to review and work through on your own. You will learn how to create an HPC cluster, run multi-node MPI, and visualize the output. You will also learn how to use Amazon FSx for Lustre and for S3, manage costs, and to run an ephemeral HPC cluster.

AWS OnAir PM - Every Friday I share some of the latest AWS as part of the AWS OnAir livestream. I am happy to announce that we are hiring a Senior Program Manager to join the AWS Launch Marketing Team to coordinate our live stream for AWS OnAir. Read the job description to learn more and to apply.

AWS IoT Sensors App - Available for iPhone and Android , this app gives you a simple way to visualize data from the sensors that are built in to your phone. You can see the real-time data locally or on an AWS dashboard and you can use the app's sample code as the basis for your own work.
