AWS Goodies - April 4, 2024

Here are some cool things that I found today!

Amazon Titan Image Generator G1 v1 Overview and Demo - Namrata H Shaw recorded a nice video that explains and demonstrates the use of the Amazon Titan model from the Bedrock console. Her explanation and demo of inpainting and outpainting was particularly helpful to me.

AWS Advanced Security Management: Patterns and Practices - My friend Lynn Langit has published a new course designed for IT professionals who use AWS advanced security services, techniques, and tools. As the description says:

By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with the skills you need to know to identify the right patterns and practices to implement advanced security scenarios.

Generative AI Quick Start PoCs - This repository contains proof-of-concept (PoC) code for fourteen different Generative AI applications, each built by an AWS Solutions Architect. Each application includes code, sample prompts, and instructions that will help you to install, use, explore, and learn.

Reddit Metadata Migration to Amazon Aurora Postgres - This story talks the evolution of Reddit's metadata storage strategy. Before the migration, metadata was stored in multiple, disparate systems and formats. With expectations of 50 TB of metadata by 2030, they created a partitioned, Postgres-based solution and stored all metadata in serialized JSONB format.

GenAI LLM Chatbot - This repo contains full source code for a multi-LLM, multi-RAG chatbot that uses Amazon Bedrock to access models from Anthropic, HuggingFace, OpenAI, Meta, AI21, and Cohere), deployed via AWS CDK.

Amazon DataZone Integration - Per this brand-new blog post , Amazon DataZone now integrates directly with AWS Glue to display data quality scores for AWS Glue Data Catalog assets. Additionally, Amazon DataZone now offers APIs for importing data quality scores from external systems.

And that's all for today!

Well, these will certainly cut into my binge watching of "Somebody Feed Phil", but these look timely and a nice mix of recordings, courses, code and case study. Thanks for sharing!
