AWS cuts hundreds of jobs in latest round of tech layoffs

The tech layoffs aren’t over. Amazon Web Services kept the trend going this morning, announcing plans to lay off several hundred employees in its sales and marketing group, and a few hundred more from the team responsible for its physical stores technology. Some of the cuts are in training and certification, where the cloud giant says it’s shifting to self-serve digital training, and training programs run by external partners. Read more .

Microsoft’s cybersecurity culture is “inadequate” and “requires an overhaul,” according to a new report by the Cyber Safety Review Board that criticizes the tech giant over a 2023 Chinese hacking incident. The report calls on Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the company’s board to take stronger action and hold senior leaders accountable. Read more.?
