AWS Cloud Quest Task 1: Creating a Static Website with Amazon S3

Introduction:

In AWS Cloud Quest task 1, I was tasked with creating a static website with Amazon S3. The customer wanted the website hosted in an S3 bucket and the index file?renamed to waes.html. I was able to complete the task successfully and the customer was satisfied with the results.

The first step was to create an S3 bucket. I did this by going to the AWS Console and clicking on the "S3" service. Then, I clicked on the "Create Bucket" button and entered a name for the bucket. I also selected the region where I wanted the bucket to be hosted.

Once the bucket was created, I uploaded the website files to it. The website files included an index.html file and a few other supporting files. I renamed the index.html file to waes.html to meet the customer's requirements.

The final step was to configure the website's DNS settings. I did this by going to my domain registrar and updating the DNS records for the website. Once the DNS settings were updated, the website was live and accessible to the public.
