AWS Cloud Computing Models

Today we will look into some different types of cloud computing models.

The general term used is XaaS means any …aaS solutions.

There are some major types that we use mostly in the cloud

1 SaaS => Software as a Service

2 PaaS => Platform as a Service

3 IaaS => Infrastructure as a Service

4 FaaS => Function as a Services

5 DaaS => Desktop as a Service

6 DBaaS => Database as a Service

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a cloud-based software model that delivers applications to end-users through an internet browser. SaaS vendors host services and applications for customers to access on demand.

Platforms as a service remove the need for organizations to manage the underlying infrastructure (usually hardware and operating systems) and allow you to focus on the deployment and management of your applications.

An example is Elastic BeanStalk.

Infrastructure as a Service, sometimes abbreviated as IaaS, contains the basic building blocks for cloud IT and typically provides access to networking features, computers (virtual or on dedicated hardware), and data storage space. An example is Amazon EC2.

Function-as-a-Service, or FaaS, is?a kind of cloud computing service that allows developers to build, compute, run, and manage application packages as functions without having to maintain their own infrastructure.
