AWHPI GLOBAL FOUNDATION TO LEAD A DELEGATION TO THE EGYPT PETROLEUM AND ENERGY SHOW (EGYPES) 2024 IN CAIRO, EGYPT

The US-based Foundation will showcase its flagship project of Africa 2-5-9 Project Initiative, which aims to deliver sustainable climate change action plans for sub-Saharan African countries.

Lagos, Nigeria, January 25, 2024 - AWHPI Global Foundation, a USA-based nonprofit organization that focuses on the development and empowerment of women and youths globally, announced today that its founder and CEO, HRH Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana, will lead a delegation to the Egypt Petroleum and Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024, which will take place from 19-21 February 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.

EGYPES 2024 is the largest oil and gas event in North Africa and the Mediterranean, attracting over 35,000 attendees from international businesses to identify opportunities, strategic priorities and gain insights into the wider energy sector1. The event will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The impressive lineup of the AWHPI Global Foundation delegation will include the Africa 2-5-9 Project initiative’s board members and partners. and industry professional leaders. Delegation includes Dr. John K. Galiotos Dean of Workforce Development at Southern University at Shreveport Loiusiana, Angelo Varsobia – Chairman and CEO of The Varsobia Group of Companies, Janice Jimenez – President/CEO of Regal Real Estate, Hiram Smith – President and CEO of HiramStyle Event Management, and Barrister Nkem Kemi Raji – Nigeria Country Director of the African Women’s Health Project International.

The Delegation will enhanced by the participation of the Africa 2-5-9 Project Partner and Energy Director: Dr. Houda Ben Janette Allal – Director General of the Observatoire on the Mediterranean Countries. The delegation will participate in various conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, and showcase the organization's flagship project of Africa 2-5-9 Project Initiative, which aims to deliver sustainable climate change action plans for sub-Saharan African countries through focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2 (Zero Hunger), 5 (Gender Equality), and 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).

The delegation will also support the review of the implementation of financing commitments, the promotion of international economic and financial stability, and the mobilization of resources to achieve the SDGs.
