AWHPI Global Foundation Empowers Women at the First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit Qatar 2024 and beyond

The African Women’s Health Project International (AWHPI) Global Foundation, under the visionary leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Moradeun Ogunlana, recently convened its global members in the vibrant city of Doha, Qatar. From June 20th to 24th, 2024, the inaugural First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit took center stage, uniting influential leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from around the world. Dr. Mervat Rashad Ibrahim Mohamed: Serving as the AWHPI Qatar Spokesperson, Dr. Mervat Ibrahim Mohamed, CEO of Royaa Rubber Manufacturing in the State of Qatar, contributed her expertise to the summit’s success.

• The African Women Health Project International (AWHPI) is a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to providing quality healthcare for women in impoverished areas for over 20 years. Led by HRH Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana, a visionary, entrepreneur, consultant, and humanitarian, AWHPI focuses on bringing health and healing to citizens in need. HRH Princess Moradeun Ogunlana: As the founder and CEO of AWHPI, Princess Moradeun Ogunlana played a pivotal role in organizing this landmark event. Her commitment to women’s empowerment and global development resonated throughout the summit. With a background in International Relations and Energy, the Princess believes in the transformative power of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Princess Moradeun, who hails from one of the oldest and most distinguished Royal Family lines in Lagos, Nigeria, is the Founder/CEO of African Women’s Health Project International (AWHPI Global Foundation) and the President/CEO of the Innovative Global Consulting (IGC) Group of Companies. Additionally, she serves as the official brand Ambassador of Adire Oodua Textiles, under the Chairmanship of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, OJAJA II, the Ooni of Ife, Nigeria – Africa’s Foremost Monarch.

AWHPI Global Foundation empowers women and girls in Africa and the diaspora through education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. Their work extends beyond borders, making a significant impact on the lives of women and youths globally. The organization collaborates with other NGOs and existing Community-Based Organizations to create sustainable programs in communities, fostering growth and empowerment.

Recently, AWHPI launched the Africa 2-5-9 Project, a climate action initiative aimed at sub-Saharan African countries. This project focuses on access to healthcare and economic empowerment for African women, contributing to positive change in the region.

Mission and Impact: HRH Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana Champions UN Sustainable Development Goals at First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit Qatar 2024

HRH Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana, a renowned global leader and advocate for sustainable development, recently convened the 2024 maiden edition of the First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit in Doha, Qatar. The event brought together women leaders from around the world to discuss and collaborate on key issues related to economic development, women's empowerment, and sustainable growth.

During the summit, HRH Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana with co-host Dr. Mervat Ibrahim of The State of Qatar emphasized the importance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a vehicle for impacting lives globally. She highlighted the need for collective action and collaboration to achieve the SDGs, particularly in areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment."
