Rainbow symbolize a positive feelings i.e. peace and serenity. These feelings are often emerged from within, when we look at the rainbow. But, when I saw a double rainbow (Primary & Secondary) my peace & serenity multiplied in many folds i.e. Peace, Serenity, Colorfulness, Godliness, Painting, Capture in the camera, Share happiness with others. Scientifically rainbows are often seen after a rainstorm when the sun breaks through the clouds. The double rainbow features reversed colors in the outer bow.

Although, it is a natural & scientific phenomenon. But, for its beauty and mystical appearance, it has been a favorite subject of mythology throughout human races. Rainbows are part of the myths of many cultures around the world. As per Hindu Mythology, it is called Indradhanush i.e. an archer's bow. Lord Indra, is the god of thunder and war, uses the rainbow to shoot arrows of lightning. As per Greco-Roman mythology, the rainbow was considered to be a path made by a messenger between Earth and Heaven. As per Chinese mythology, the rainbow was a slit in the sky sealed by goddess. As per Japanese "descended on the floating bridge of Heaven to create land from the ocean of chaos." 

Whatever may be the case, the fact is, rainbow is a beautiful natural & colorful phenomenon; knowing the significance of each of the colors will make it even more beautiful. Weather it is Nature or God has created this glorious natural phenomenon but the philosophers have given a meaning to its colors. Every rainbow has seven colors beginning with red and ending with violet or purple. To remember the order of these colors, age old acronym is VIBGYOR or ROYGBIV which stands for Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo and Violet.

We all know that colors play an important role in our lives. Different colors symbolize different personalities, and also affect our moods differently. The seven colors of rainbow are also linked to seven chakra colors, seven day of the week, the colors of the Auras and so on. Similarly , being in HR, we must understand different team members to take out the best from them.
