The Awesome Japanese Culture & its People!

Japan the Ultimate Travel Experience!

I love to go a wondering along the mountain track, and as I go I love to sing...

My knapsack on my back! Valerie...Valera, Valeraaaa, Valehahahahahaha...Valerie...my knapsack on my back!!

Very interesting, it is as I write this travelogue on Japan, the Prime Miniter of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe with his wife, is on a two day visit 13th-14th Sept. ’17. I write while I watch the Peace loving leaders sitting at the river bank of Sabarmati at Gandhiji’s Sabarmati Ashram!

I am very happy at writing this travelogue and recollecting my lovely memories of my 2 visits to Japan in 2010 & 2011.

One of my most favourite destinations is Japan...and that too travelling to the foothills of Mt. Fuji.

I took the aweome ‘Shinkansen Bullet Train (now being made for India) with a JR Pass’ and tube to reach the foothills of Mt Fuji ..and also visited the old beautiful cities of Nara, Kyoto, and Kobe. The oriental beauty of Japan coupled with the bountiful awesome aroma of nature, technology friendly and peace loving people, makes it one of my most cherished destinations till date, even after visiting more than a dozen countries!

My son Avinav who was posted at P&G Japan, with his office and home on the beautiful island of Kobe, is worth visiting and staying for at least a couple of days...of course it is not enough, if you can afford to stay longer!

I am a nature lover, and one thing that I miss many a times in metros of India is the Peace and Quiet. Japan therefore really charmed me as a land of ‘Peace & its Peace loving People’. The Peace and calm of the entire country hits you as soon as you arrive at the airport, and the slow seeping in of the aroma of the peace and tranquillity is not to be missed and actually inhaled and internalised...It has the balming effect that not many places have to offer today! I really fell in love with Japan with the lovely cherry blossom blooming all around...and am ever willing to visit again, if given the chance!

After Hiroshima, Japanese make a special effort at making a point in creating Peace, even through physical re-enforcements!

They have numerous Pagodas and Parks named as Peace Pagoda, Peace Park and so on...!

Behaviour of Japanese people amply signifies this belief...there is no honking, the people will talk in low tones, children also play very peacefully, while mothers sit chit chatting with friends!! I especially conducted free 'Happiness Workshops' due to karoshi in Japan, Trained two consultants to take the workshops forward and bring more and more people under them, for a stress free living. Was a nice experience!

Avinav and his beautiful wife Sonal took me to the Hiroshima island (newly constructed after bombing). The place is live with children, tourists and animals! Sonal who is very fond and loves animals dearly, literally gave away all her fruit lunch to the golden deer of the island...feeding them with her hands! Just love her for her warmth and compassion for the ones who can’t speak!

But nature has its own language in Japan...the beauty in Japan stuns you. One of the best time to visit is during the stunning ‘Sakura’ (late March - early April). My son, was particular that I visit during this time...and also he made me take a ‘Bullet Train Pass’ (issued from India for visitors to Japan) from India, that time in 2010, it costed 20,000/- rupees (this proved to be very economical, as just one trip from Osaka to Tokyo one way was 10,000 rupees) With a 20,000km network of lines and high performance, punctual trains, Japan is a train lover's paradise! I being a Railway man’s wife...was ecstatic at the lovely inventions...the bullet trains! Now coming to India!!

If you want to maximise your time in Japan and travel quickly between the Japanese cities, opt for the high-speed Shinkansen 'Bullet Trains. It is truly an awesome experience!

I would recommend Japan to anyone and everyone, people who are looking for a holiday with bountiful nature, for tourists who love the oriental arts and historical sites, and also to people who love simplicity and Peace!

Beautifully captured.

Mesmerising article beautifully captures the essence of peace and compassion with quietude of Japan and Japanese .Though I differ on Bullet train which would be uneconomical but serve as monument for upper strata once a while. And there is no doubt Japanese deserved it technologically as it is indigenous to them with almost no financial burden on them. Here India has huge burden and I sincerely unaware of any package deal which includes the bullet train. India as a country could learn too much from the country like Japan. Even I think, the parks ,the roads etc. must be named like ???????, ???? to deal with increasingly animosity between the communities, such names goes swiftly in our thoughts and behaviors. Thanks for sharing travelogue. It was amazing to read.Hope more on these lines. .
