Awesome ILTACON sessions

I’d like to highlight one session that is noteworthy in my opinion and other sessions that have Fish employees.

A Recipe for Great Leadership with Bruce Griffiths is going to be great. Bruce is a retired US Coast Guard Captain, and he has created a fantastic Competency Modeling System. I first met Bruce at UCSD’s Leadership and Management Program several years ago, and we’ve used his system for several years for our organizational development with our teams. His session is limited to the first 100 participants. If you are in a leadership role, I highly recommend this session.

I’m speaking on DevOps and how we’ve used it to transform some aspects of our culture. I’ll be talking about the cultural changes that can apply to any IT Department; you do not need a development team to embrace the cross-departmental collaboration aspects of DevOps.

Jason Baker will be discussing Windows 10 Deployment Best Practices based on our experiences with Windows 10 over the last two years. He has put in a massive amount of time on this session.

Jennifer Beaudette will be part of a panel discussion on killing email collaboration. She’ll be speaking about our experiences with Slack and Microsoft Teams. We have multiple departments and groups using MSFT Teams. My personal goal is to eliminate email collaboration at my firm within two years with Microsoft Teams.
