Awareness and Self-Checking
Master, while teaching the higher consciousness concept, you talked about awareness and self-checking. But I didn’t get much clarity. What is awareness and self-checking? And how to do it?
Master said, my child, to bring any change in your habits and lifestyle, awareness and self-checking is the most important tool. As you need to sharpen the axe before cutting the tree. Likewise, we need to be first aware of our old and bad habits to change them. And to get aware of these habits, we need to do self-checking. For instance, when we have physical pain in the body, we become aware. To bring that awareness we check the exact pain point. And try to find out the root cause of the pain. Thereafter, we go to the doctor to fix the pain. Isn't it? My master asked me.?
I nodded my head in agreement.
The master continued, but the problem is, we are not much aware of our mental health problems. Most of us don't even consider mental health problems or old bad habits as sickness. Or we don’t accept them. We run away from them or hide them. And for our entire life, we keep struggling with them instead of going to a mentor or coach. We hesitate to go to a counselor just because people would consider us abnormal and belittle us.?
Instead, why don’t we think that we should be courageous to come forward and become an inspiration for others? So they also come forward and take strong steps to fix their mental health issues. And break the old pattern with the help of a mentor and become an inspiration for others. What’s wrong with it? Why do people keep suffering??
Master continued, people can do all sorts of wrong things by hiding from their families. They spend a lot of time and money on materialistic joy. Then, why don’t they take their mental health as a priority?
I felt like the master was expressing his pain and worries for people. Master was concerned for people’s mental health, happiness, and peace.

When you do self-checking, you can identify what is wrong or right you have done. Where did you waste your time? And your checking should be so subtle that, you can count, how many times have you created negative thoughts. And change them next time.
You must do self-checking daily before jumping to bed.?
To bring quick awareness and fast results, you should do this self-checking every hour. After every hour, you can analyze your thought process. And you can correct it immediately. In the evening, you may forget a few things but after one hour you might not. Therefore, your self-checking will be more accurate and effective. This will bring more awareness to you and you will get fast results. Initially, to remind yourself to self-check every hour, you can set an alarm.?
After doing this self-checking, you can sit in silence for one minute. And you will see a miracle happening in your life. You will be more productive, relaxed, stress-free, and happy. Your sleep hours would reduce slowly. Since, when the mind is at peace, the body just needs rest, not a long sleep.?
Do you know, why people who do meditation complete their sleep in four to five hours, whereas a normal person needs seven to eight hours of sleep? Master asked me.
I don’t know, master: I said
Master answered: As they are always at peace, their minds don’t get tired. Therefore, their body needs rest, not the mind. Their mind is already relaxed and charged.? However, a normal person takes a lot of burden on their head and their mind gets tired. Hence, they need long hours of sleep.?
I was mesmerized by this piece of wisdom given by the Master. Also, I liked the tip given by my master, so I started practicing it.? I have been practicing it for more than seven years.??
