Awareness of the player
Increasing alertness during play itself has been studied when they looked at players breathing through their noses, especially with low intensity and physical movement. Nasal breathing is helping to improve visual-spatial awareness and this is very important for team sports. visual-spatial awareness is when the player has the eye on the ball but is also aware of everything that's going on around them, this includes teammates, the ball, and opposition team players.?If a player has poor visual-spatial awareness, they are more likely to get injured and also more like to not see the opportunities in the game and thus lose possession to the opposition. there's another side to this as well and that's sleep quality that sleepy players are more likely to be injured and it's because you don't have your full attention on the game because you can't have your attention there.?
