Awards Season - Collaboration raises the bar

In the last two months three projects the MailenDesign studio has been involved in have been recognised with major design awards. 

In October HAZ Mincing Lane won best new London Restaurant at the prestigious Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. Working alongside the consistently superb IAM in London, MailenDesign supported with Architectural and PM services to deliver their truly breathtaking concept design.

In November the Northern Design Awards recognised Rumba Congleton as winner of the Best Restaurant & Bar in the ￡250-￡750,000 category. The MD team helped the supremely talented Jimi Pearce Design bring the project to life. Huge congratulations to Jimi and the Dawnvale team. It’s not often you get to hang a full size great white shark from the ceiling!

Finally last week our showroom, office and spec centre for Knauf UK was shortlisted in the AJSpec Awards alongside some of the most important Architectural Practices in the world. Close collaboration with our client KnaufUK from early concept design through to on site delivery was the key to producing such an innovative and exciting fit-out.

These accolades are testament to an incredibly challenging year with numerous committed teams working extremely hard. But they also show the extreme power of collaboration. When a fully committed team comes together to support each other to go beyond expectations, then amazing results can be achieved.
