Awards Season '24 - The Highlights
Wraxall Yard with Clementine Blakemore Architects - Civic Trust Award
A restored dairy farm within the West Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering a community space, workshop, and inclusive holiday accommodation. As much as possible of the original building fabric was retained and left exposed, with sensitive structural interventions to minimise the embodied carbon of the project.
Peckham House with Surman Weston Ltd - RIBA London Award
A self-designed and self-built family home in Peckham, with 3 gardens and a greenhouse on the roof. The timber frame and lignacite blockwork structure is expressed throughout, creating a delightful tapestry of materials, textures and colour.
Creek Cabin with MAP Architecture and Jon Broome Architects - RIBA East Award
An eco home built within the Suffolk Broads Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and RAMSAR designated wetland. The curved timber roof structure supports a living green roof with an integrated irrigation system.
