We provide a complementary service for Professional Deputies and Attorneys. We support the services they provide with specialist community care and employment law advice.

We are thrilled that our work has been recognised by the Law Society. Our new Service for Professional Deputies and Attorneys was judged as having “benefitted care professionals as well as the vulnerable and elderly they serve”.

What is this Service?

We provide specialist casework support and advice to experienced private client solicitors who have responsibility for managing complex financial and care arrangements for vulnerable clients.

• Delivering tailor-made national training courses for PDAs and bespoke in-house training on complex community care law issues.
• Providing written advice on issues including funding long-term care, hospital discharge and protecting clients facing Financial or Health & Welfare Safeguarding issues.
• Advising and representing PDAs at Best Interest meetings.
• Representing PDAs at NHS Continuing Healthcare (NHS CHC) assessments and appeals to secure funding for their vulnerable clients.
• Representing PDAs in the Court of Protection where there are litigated Health & Welfare issues, Safeguarding & DoLS matters, or contested Financial disputes between family members.
• File Audits for NHS CHC funding/state funding eligibility.
• Employment law advice, contracts and handbooks for PDAs directly employing carers.
• Free online newsletters, factsheets and case studies.
