AWARD-WINNING

Dearest colleagues,

Today I would like to share a success story with you. I got the "Gender & Human Rights Global Ambassador" Certificate on 7th January 2023. The founder of the Federation of International Gender and Human Rights (FIGHR) _Dr. Ameena AL?_ presented it to me along with some other award-winners. I am also thankful Ms. Ann D'Silva who has entered my life recently as a precious Indian sister. It is really a great honor for me.

For more than 25 years, I have been dealing with gender issues and my focal point has always been the rights, especially the rights of children and women in addition to quality and dignity. I attended many seminars concerning peace and conflict. For instance; In 2003, I participated in the 6th ICSQCC at a Peace-Awarded school (City Montessori School) in 2003 and my vision has been widened a lot. In 2005 I met Prof.Dr. Evelin Lindner , the president of the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies, I added the word of "humiliation" into my work. In 2010 I was the convenor of Annual Conference of Human DHS. In the same year, I attended the "Non-violence seminar" of International Center for Nonviolence curriculum (ICNC) and I designed a curriculum for universities named "Nonviolence in Education". Then, I prepared it as a modular program for the students of the Faculty of Education along with the Conflict Resolution course. I took part in the foundation of the Peace Education and Research Center of Bo?azi?i University (BUPERC) and I instructed the above mentioned courses at the Educational Faculty fo Bo?azi?i University. Now, I am writing a book about it.

I shared a picture with you. It includes all the awards and medals which were given to me since the year 2000. Most of them are personal awards except for; * The Educational Expert Group of the year 2000 Award" by the Association of Quality (KalDer).

* The one given to my NGO (Association for Continuous Improvement_Sü Ge Der) by the "ICT Association of Turkey (Türkiye Bili?im Derne?i)" in 2009 as the "3rd best Educational Web Page Design" (Dearest Mehmet Gül was the designer of it. I have always been debtful and thankful to him for standing with me). And;

* The Institutional Excellence Award which was given to the Association for Innovative Collaboration (Y?MEDER) by the World Council for Total Quality & Excellence in Education (WCTQEE) in 2019.

The others all belong to me. For the last two years, as a result of the Pandemic, I am getting Certificates through there cyber gatherings. Only one of them brought me financial award however, they are all very precious for me since they remind me of how I changed my dreams into reality within the years. I invested my students a lot, for education is the most important gift for the next generations.

On the other hand I have had many valuable wards too: Firstly, my family, my parents, my sister, my husband, my daughter and my grandson. Then, my profession and my students I met within 45 years along with my colleagues. Finally my 18 books and hundreds of articles and conference presentations I prepared during my professional years.

I consider myself as a lucky soul, running behind her dreams without losing her hopes on the way of being helpful to kids, to the planet earth and to the females who are forming the other half of the population. Stay safe and stay in peace.
