Award-Winning Author and Disney Animator Team Up on Revolutionary New Book Project

Award-winning author, Deen Ferrell, and Disney animator, Thomas Leavitt, meet crowds at Barnes and Nobles to introduce new books due out this Spring/Summer. Ferrell's "Enigma" continues the award-winning Cryptic Spaces series, introducing the formidable Indominus, and setting the series up for the action-packed conclussion, slated for late 2020 release. "Enigma" is the fourth book in the series, and is due in late May.

"Don't Look Under the Stairs," a revolutionary Children's book, designed with virtual reality software to be both a physical book, and a fully immersive 3-D adventure, is due out in late July/August. The book is a collaboration between Ferrell and Disney animator, Thomas Leavitt. Scores of kids had a chance to sample the interactive world at the event and were amazed and delighted. "It's one of the coolest things I've seen at a book store," one exclaimed. "That's awesome!" was heard over and over again as kids and adults alike got a peek at the interactive quality of the book. Leavitt and Ferrell say they wish to give reading a new "cool" factor. "By integrating a physical book with a 3-D, gamer-like digital world, we break down the walls of the book's cover," Ferrell explains. "We create an experience that actually allows the reader to walk into the pages of the book, They search there for clues that unlock a hidden page, not included in the printed book itself."
