An award for our professionalism

It is an honour for the whole HR organisation at thyssenkrupp. I am now among the 40 leading HR personalities, according to the German HR specialist magazine “Personalmagazin“. Every other year, they virtually decorate HR managers, consultants and scientists. Let’s take it as a mutual reward for our competence, determination and effort. Thank you HR@tk.

“Personalmagazin” does not honour “superstars”, but a broad range of people who advance our common cause. I am delighted, because we at thyssenkrupp do everything we can to support our business and our colleagues. And we’re in good company, as Janina Kugel (Siemens) or Stefan Ries (SAP) have been awarded, too.

Striving for a value-based performance culture

We at thyssenkrupp have become one global HR community, we work according to our values, but we never forget to strive for a proper performance. This is what I call a value-based performance culture. We support thyssenkrupp’s Strategic Way Forward, a transformation that seems to turn the HR organization upside down at times. I am convinced that we need to set up a flexible framework for our agile teams. This is not only due to the digitalization. And I am so proud of my teams, who deal smilingly with my hunger for new ideas.

This applies to our initiatives in Occupational Safety and Health, just as for our employee surveys that are indispensable for our feedback culture and the improvement of our leadership skills. Not to forget our employer branding (watch out for a new campaign!), our talent management and the business rationale of diversity.

Change of culture at thyssenkrupp? We’re on the right track.
