ECOSEND WON AN AWARD!
We're thrilled to be here, and it's all thanks to you!?
First, we have some fantastic news to share as EcoSend has won the ‘Net Zero Project of the Year – Vendor’ at the CRN Sustainability in Tech Summit & Awards!??
James Gill, Founder of EcoSend went up on stage to collect the award held at the home of the BAFTAs in London. It’s safe to say all of us are honoured to be recognised for our efforts to improve email sustainability.?
At EcoSend, we really do want to make the experience of email better for our customers as well as the planet. We know there are lots of names out there in the email space, so it’s no understatement that every award, link and even social media mention means a lot.?
Thank you to The Channel Company for this prestigious honour and to everyone else who has supported us so far.
IS AI THE ENEMY OF SUSTAINABILITY?
Practically everyone is using AI now, but at what cost?
James has certainly been busy this week, as before he found himself collecting an award on the same stage where they hold the BAFTAs, he was also featured in a new report by Hiyield | B Corp .
‘Is AI the enemy of sustainability?’ takes a close look at our growing reliance on artificial intelligence and what that means for the environment.??
Head to page 15 of the report to see what James had to say, including why it’s difficult to recommend AI to businesses that care about digital sustainability, not to mention ethical marketing practices.??
We want to thank Hiyield for inviting us to contribute and we hope you’ll give the report a read!
A VISIT TO THE BARBICAN
Inspiring your travels by sharing a previous visit to this top London attraction
If you are based in the UK or plan on visiting soon, you might be interested in things to do.?
How about dropping by the Barbican??
This is a bit of a weird one, as I found myself there when I should have been having my wisdom teeth removed a few months ago.?
You can read more about how I ended up there instead, plus some other incredible random occurrences that followed in my latest post A Visit To The Barbican.?
But wait, isn't EcoSend all about email marketing? It is, and you won't believe?there are a lot of crossovers in this post too!?
Specifically, how building a quality list and sending out thoughtful rather than incessant email campaigns can be a winning strategy for your business.
Even when you really aren't thinking about email in your life outside of work, you'd be surprised just how often this basic fundamental of marketing crops up at the most unlikely of times. After all, we are all email users as well as email marketers!?
BRUSH UP YOUR DIGITAL SUSTAINABILITY SKILLS!
Are you interested in knowing more about the carbon emissions that are generated by our digital activity??
Digital Carbon Online has developed a new email masterclass that will allow you to do exactly that.?
With the rise in AI use especially, it has never been more important to get clued up about the carbon footprint of the internet. Crucially, to learn what you can do to become a more sustainable web user either as an individual or a business.?
It’s free to enrol and you’ll gain certification if you complete the course.?
