Award ceremony for the students of ITS TAM

In February 2023 Marchi & Fildi and Filidea consigned the scolarships connected to the contest, which involved the students of the ITS TAM on a brilliant creative challenge

The?second edition of the training project, involving students of 2nd year course for?Higher Technician for Design and Development of Knitwear Products at the ITS TAM?(Higher Institute for Textiles, Clothing and Fashion) in Biella, has come to an end. The initiative was focused on the creation and development of a knitted garment, a?polo shirt, using the SS 2024 collection yarns of our brands Marchi & Fildi and Filidea.

The projects have been submitted to an evaluation based on didactic, technical and aesthetic elements; after this evaluation we assigned?two?scolarships. Nicolò Lavecchia and Stefano Aiello, and Ilaria Gargano e Giulia Sirboni got the award for the whole result reached with their models.

Thanks to the supervision of?Fausto Caletti, the stylist that cooperates with the development of?yarns?collection?of Marchi & Fildi and Filidea, and the ITS TAM professors, the students have completed their didactic project, measuring themselves not only in terms of the ideation of the?finished?garments, but also the total number of the steps for their execution: from the creation of the moodboards, to the choice of knitting stitches and the test of the garment prototypes. The whole collection was exposed a tour stand during the?92nd edition of Pitti Filati.

Giovanni?Marchi, CEO of Gruppo Marchi & Fildi comments:

"The polo shirts exposed inside our stand at Pitti Filati attracted the interest of the visitors and during this edition there was a further satisfaction: the students had the possibility to come to Florence, visiting the exhibition and see the garments they created, inserted in an official surround totally dedicated to the knitting and its protagonists”.

Silvia?Moglia, ITS TAM director adds:?

Also this year our students took the challenge with a growing enthusiasm. Inside the Magnonevolo laboratories they focused on research, interpretation and production of the final garments, following their taste and creativity. The supervision by Fausto Caletti was pretious, together with our knitting professors they followed the development of each single project. This kind of collaborations is fundamental for our institute”.
