Awakening To a New Way

I remember years ago, sitting on the M25, heading to a job I didn’t love. Everyone said I had a ‘great’ job. What they actually meant was that it was well paid according to ‘normal’ standards. My level of awareness was very different back then and I was also programmed to believe it was a good job. Otherwise, why would I have stayed?

However, I wasn’t fulfilled in the slightest. I started to question: How could it be a good job?! How could I trade my life for something I didn’t love?

The Wake-Up Call

One morning, I saw a billboard ad on the side of the M25. It showed a photo of a tropical island, with palm trees and quintessential cocktails. I thought: “How blissful life would be if we didn’t have to work”.

As I arrived at the office that day, I started chatting to a lady and asked her how long she had been working there. She replied “15 years!” - “Wow” I exclaimed “You must really love it here”, to which she replied, “No, I hate it - but what else would I do?! I’ve been there since I left University - it’s all I’ve known - so I’m stuck. My husband works here too - and we both hate it”.

This scene is similar to one in thousands of lives every single week. Is life to be taken for granted so much so that we waste our precious years doing something we simply don’t want to do? Why do so many people stay for decades in a situation that has them wishing their life away as they count down the weeks to their next holiday? 

This isn’t exclusive to the corporate world. I see many business owners being slaves to their business, believing that ‘it takes time to build a business and ‘In 3-4 years I’d like to be….’

A New Way

Having walked away from a job that no longer served me very soon after the above scene and built a successful global business I’m passionate about, I have some valuable insights to share with you. There is a different way. 

There is a whole different world out here - where you can build a successful life doing what you absolutely LOVE. A world where your Monday morning is the same as your Friday afternoon; where your working week is as enjoyable as your weekends, where you can earn what you really want to earn (not what society tells you is a ‘good’ salary for a whole year of your life); where you get to live where you really want, drive the car you dream of and go on holidays to places you really want to go.

This world is more enjoyable, happier…… and more effortless.

As you read this, you may think “What’s the catch?!”. The catch is YOU. You don’t believe it’s possible. Right now, it would amaze you to learn that the majority of the things you believe are not true, but because you believe them, they are true for you. They will also continue to be true for you for the rest of your life. 

Unless you change them.

“But how can I believe something I don’t believe?!” you ask. There is a process, a system- where you can 100% transform something you believe into the polar opposite and believe the polar opposite to the core of your being.

Once you start to believe something different, things start to happen, opportunities arise and people get in touch with you out of the blue. One thing leads to another.

The thing is you see - everything you believe is true for you. Due to the concept of confirmation bias, you will always find evidence to support what you believe to be true. This evidence will strengthen your belief and round and round you go. For many, this cycle continues throughout their whole life.

So let me take you somewhere in your imagination. What if your success was guaranteed? What if you could build a business or pursue a career you absolutely love? What if the beliefs you have around things like "There’s no money in that" or "I don’t have any experience, where would I start?!" are wrong. What if you believed the opposite of everything that is holding you back?

If everything you believe is ultimately true for you and you can choose to believe anything you wish, then doesn’t that mean that you can design, create and live the life you really want?

Yes, it does. And in the not-so-distant future, you will wake up in an entirely different world - one you created by your own design - where you can enjoy every day of your life and never wish a single one of them away ever again.
