Be Awake to Your Resurrection

Be Awake to Your Resurrection

The concept of the Resurrection is rooted in many religious and spiritual traditions, and it speaks to the idea of transformation and rebirth. It is the idea that we need to let go of our old ways of being, of limitation and lack, and be reborn through spiritual healing and renewal.

At the heart of the Resurrection is the notion that we must die to our old selves, the parts of ourselves that hold us back, that limit our potential, and that keep us stuck in patterns of fear, doubt, and insecurity. This death can be painful, as it requires us to let go of our attachments to the past and to embrace the unknown. It requires the courage of surrender and detachment, i.e. going with the "flow". It requires us to have hope, faith and trust that all will be (and is) well. I invite you to read my earlier articles on the Sweetness of Surrender and Courage in Surrende r.

It is only through this death that we can be reborn, that we can experience true spiritual healing and renewal. We must learn to let go of the past, to free ourselves from the fear of tomorrow, and to be more in tune with the present moment. This means learning to love and appreciate ourselves more, to be more accepting of who we are, and to be more in tune with the peace and "aliveness" of the present moment.

One of the key elements of the Resurrection is the idea of forgiveness. To be reborn we must learn to forgive ourselves and others for past mistakes, to let go of grudges and resentments, and to embrace a more compassionate and loving way of being. This requires us to confront our fears and insecurities, to face the parts of ourselves that we may not like, and to learn to love and accept ourselves despite our imperfections. For only then are we able to express God's message of unconditional love. We first have to express it for ourselves before we can dole it out to others. If we fail to forgive and let go, then there is always some part of us chained to the past and we are still crying over spilt milk. Only the present moment is something that we truly have power over and where we can effect the greatest change. Do read an earlier article on The Divine Power of Forgiveness .

Resurrection is also about releasing the fear of tomorrow. Fear of tomorrow is a common human experience, yet it acts as an anchor that energetically weighs us down and prevents us living fully in the "now". It can arise from a variety of different sources. At its core, this fear is rooted in a sense of uncertainty and the unknown, which can be unsettling and uncomfortable for many of us.

One of the primary drivers of the fear of tomorrow is a sense of anxiety or worry about what the future might hold. This can manifest in a variety of ways, such as worrying about financial security, health concerns, relationship issues, or other challenges that we may anticipate in the future. When we focus too much on these potential problems, we can become overwhelmed with worry and anxiety, which can lead to a pervasive sense of fear about what tomorrow might bring.

Another factor that can contribute to the fear of tomorrow is a sense of powerlessness or lack of control. When we feel like we don't have control over our lives or our circumstances, we can become fearful about what might happen next. This can be particularly true during times of uncertainty or upheaval, such as during a global pandemic or other major life changes.

There may also be deeper psychological factors at play that contribute to the fear of tomorrow. For example, some people may have experienced trauma or other negative life events that have left them feeling vulnerable and afraid. Others may struggle with anxiety disorders or other mental health conditions that can amplify feelings of fear and uncertainty.

But what is important to be aware of is that if we are constantly plagued by fear and anxiety, our subconscious mind actually works to create more reasons to worry and be anxious about. That is the power of our subconscious mind - it is a goal-serving mechanism that follows the predominant path of your thoughts and feelings. It is in awareness of this truth that we have the power for change and to understand that fears are simply an illusion, born of an old, dysfunctional program. When we defy these fears and do not associate with them and instead acknowledge the truth of how potent we are as creators of our reality in the present moment, we can transform and resurrect our lives. You might find my article The Mass Delusion of Abundance interesting in this respect.

Of course, there are steps we can take to first mitigate and manage fear and cultivate a greater sense of peace and calmness in the face of uncertainty, so that we feel more empowered. These may include:

  • energy releasing work through the Energy Alignment Method - releasing past traumas, stuck, repetitive patterns of limitation and lack, letting go of anger, resentment and frustration and aligning to the power of who you really are
  • practising mindfulness or some other forms of meditation
  • seeking support from loved ones
  • getting help from mental health professionals.

Once you start doing the inner work of letting go of what no longer serves you, you begin to develop a greater sense of resilience and self-compassion. By doing so, we can learn to face the unknown with greater courage and equanimity, and cultivate a greater sense of peace and joy in our lives.

And finally, the Resurrection is about embracing a more spiritual way of life. This means learning to connect with the Divine, to cultivate a sense of gratitude and wonder, and to live in a way that is aligned with our highest values and aspirations. It means letting go of the ego-driven desires and impulses that can lead us astray, and instead, learning to live from a place of love, compassion, and service. For me personally, I connect to the Divine (including my Divine self) through EAM (Energy Alignment Method) affirmations, through meditation, through music and through being in nature.

In summary, the Resurrection is a powerful symbol of transformation and rebirth. It speaks to the idea that we must let go of our old ways of being, to die to our old selves, in order to be reborn through spiritual healing and renewal. This requires us to let go of the past, to free ourselves from fear and insecurity, to forgive ourselves and others, and to embrace a more spiritual way of life. By doing so, we can experience true joy and fulfillment, and live in a way that is aligned with our highest potential.

I wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter!
