AV/VR set to boom

Welcome back to this week's Inavate EMEA newsletter! This week we covered screen burn-in, where a visible mark is left on a display often caused by leaving a fixed image on the screen, which has caused problems for CRT and plasma displays, however this is not a significant issue for OLED technology according to a report by publication RTINGS. RTINGS conducted stress testing on three OLED gaming monitors. The tests involved running a 16:9 video feed of CNN on these ultrawide monitors at maximum brightness to see how the pixels reacted over time.

We also covered a report by Technavio that indicates the AR/VR market will balloon by 333.45 billion Euros according, progressing at a CAGR of almost 52.37% from 2022-2027. The report highlights growing demand for augmented reality and virtual reality technologies as a key driver, which has significantly increased over the past decade.
