Avoid the waffle

Hi,
Being coherent…?
It isn’t always easy when you’re speaking in front of an audience, right?
Especially when you’re not used to tens or hundreds of eyes on you.
That’s why public speaking makes many of us nervous to some degree.
Whether you experience severe anxiety or simply butterflies in the stomach…
It can put you off your game.
When that happens, some people clam up…
While others react with lots of “waffle”.
But when you end up waffling, your audience will find it hard to catch your message.
To get around this, you could use the crutch of your Powerpoint file.
But I’m sure we’ve all listened to presentations that were led by the slides.
It doesn’t hit home and have any impact, does it?
It’s one key thing we avoid in the Rehearsal Room.
And to do that, I teach my clients how to use the X-ray Tool.
I was introduced to this tool about 18 years ago by my mentor.
At that time, I wondered how we’d remember what we have to say if we’re simply holding a small piece of paper with symbols and one-word texts.
But guess what?
It was a game-changer!
See, you use the X-ray Tool to structure your thoughts and clarify your message.
That’s why you won’t have to let your PowerPoint drive your presentation.
Just like anything, it takes time to really understand how to use it…

But practice makes perfect, right?
And that also applies to the X-ray Tool.
Now, my clients love using this tool because it makes all their presentations stay on point…
Which is what will happen once you master it, too.
Plus, it’s great for meetings, impromptu speeches and even one-to-one chats.
Remember this:
Clarity of thought is a big part of any communication.
And the X-ray Tool is a valuable tool that will help you get clear on your message.
Now, if you’d like to know how to use this tool to give your message clearly and confidently…
Reply to this email, and I’ll show you how I can help.
Cheers,
Carmen?
