AVOID LinkedIn Jail and Extend your 3,000 invite limit!

So, there is actually a limit to the amount of invitations you can send to connect with people. It’s currently set at 3,000. BUT, it doesn’t mean you can’t send more. Luckily you are able to email LinkedIn and request more. They tend to allocate more in 500-1,000 sets. However there is a catch!
You can get classed as a spammer by their algorithm and your account and ability to send invites will be HEAVILY restricted. LinkedIn will start to ask you for the person’s email address when you send the invite. Obviously, if it is someone you actually don’t know, then you are out of luck.
How does that happen?
When you send an invite and the person gets it and has a choice to accept or decline. If they decline AND also select the prompt “I don’t know” - it's danger time. 5-7 of these declines and you are likely to find yourself under restriction.
Newbie enthusiasm
It’s not uncommon for newbies to get trigger happy with their invites. And find themselves restricted, so LinkedIn has actually created a way for you first-timers to remove their own restriction. Simply go check the “I agree” box and click “OK.” You’re now unrestricted and back in action.
Avoid the Sin Bin
A good way to reduce this I DON’T KNOW, is to include a personalized message in your connection invite, send to people in the same GROUP after sharing and being active there, follow the person first and like/comment/share their updates before sending a request.
Note: you can go to this link and WITHDRAW your invites. It will still count as 1 of the 3,000 you sent but if they haven’t connected in a week or so, if they do get around to looking at their invites, they tend to have a higher chance of I DON’T KNOW. So just withdraw them I recommend. You can go here to see your invites sent:
