AviaAM Leasing has completed another successful engine teardown project. While engine teardowns are an increasing significant part of successful business strategy, this teardown stands out for its value to both the leasing company and aviation industry, concluding with the sale of parted-out Pratt & Whitney PW4056-3 engine components. The PW4056-3 engine is uniquely sought after and scarce. This end-of-life engine was previously mounted on one of AviaAM leasing’s B747-400F aircraft. In collaboration with ATOPS, the lessor meticulously dismantled the engine to market its parts individually. GA Telesis then handled the consignment-based purchase and overhaul so that each component met the highest standards of reliability, resulting in a successful and profitable project.
