Our FS Team has been running a hugely successful InfinITY War blog campaign and being a fanboy, I couldn’t stay away from the same. I came up with some lose ideas and Hope this brings smile to the Avenger fans.
My thoughts completely revolve around the IT Users or your IT Techs. Lets empower the real Avengers here and introduce them to the wave of tools for them to fight the Thanos of IT breakages and Service failures.
Gamification :
Lets introduce gamification to your Team and start assigning badges and quests for them. Make sure you define the personas and create those quests for them
Most Valuable Player - Captain America : Lets get it straight, Ironman might have been the founding team member, but its Captain America who is the most valuable Avenger in the team. Remember the entire Avengers broke off, but Cap kept his cool and he was doing what he felt right. Identify the MVP in your Team and make him/her the Captain America of your team. This person is going to do what is right for the User.
Sharpshooter - Hawkeye : I know, I know, Hawkeye is not in the Avengers movie, but who are we kidding. He is going to be back in the sequel and kick some Thanos, for sure. Identify the Sharpshooter in the team, who is going to give the right answer to every user, at the right time. This person will always find the right solution for the user and ensure the User is Happy
Customer WOW Champion - Nick Fury : I know everyone would argue and debate that Nick Fury can never be the most loved Avenger, but lets take a step back and think about it. Who is the one person who is always looking after the Avengers and whenever they need help, he brings the best in them. A Customer WOW champion is not someone who helps Customers alone, but also empowers his team too. There can be no one better to take up this mantle. One who WOWs the Customer and also his/her team too
Integrations :
One of the most Tech Savvy and hands-on Avengers is definitely Rocket. He is someone who gets handy with whatever Tech he gets his eyes on. Empower this Avengers with a ton of integrations. If Rocket needs to Remote into someone’s device, enable TeamViewer or LogMeIn. If Rockets needs to push a Bug he identified to his Dev Team, give him the power of JIRA Bug tracking.
Now that I shared some good Avengers to follow. Let's focus on something we shouldn’t be doing
Do not be a Drax : We all know, how humble Drax can be (he accepts it himself), but lets stay away from such a Drax like behaviour. No IT Analyst should be like him. Always, think about the Incident and decide what's the best way to address it. We shouldn’t JUMP into the Incident (Guardians of the Galaxy - Vol 2) and then think about resolving it.Always collaborate and get help from the other Avengers to fix the incidents.
Don’t be a MERC with a Mouth - Technically Deadpool is the creator of X-Force which is Anti-Avengers, but he does at one time, join the Avengers and fight Thanos. Let's also give him the title of being an Avenger. But let's be clear, never be someone who blabbers and doesn't give the right answer to the User. Give the exact information. User wants a Password Reset - Direct them to the Catalog. Users wants a New Laptop - Give them link to order a new one, publish the price. Be very clear and exact
