Currently wrapping up my contract in Uganda and it was magnificent. What a great cross-spectrum team of professionals! As I conclude my time in Uganda I am now preparing for the transition to the next opportunity. I have a wealth of practical experience working abroad in and out of uniform for the Marine Corps, NGOs and as an advisor for Dept of State, AFRICOM/DoD and local government stakeholders and I would make a strong addition to portfolios keen on project management with partner countries in security assistance, capacity building, stability, counter-insurgency, logistics and senior staff operational planning structures with the ability to coordinate command post exercises, operational planning teams, budget forecasting and more.

I have spent the last two years in Jinja, Uganda I have been an advisor working for the African Peacekeeping Rapid Response Partnership (APRRP) for the Dept of States Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) and AFRICOM. Prior to that I spent 3 years in Dhaka, Bangladesh serving as the Deputy Country Director on food security projects that are cross-spectrum from gender inclusion, women's alternative livelihoods, enhanced homestead for production, agro chains and more to include WASH components. I was also the security manager for our organization for all our projects ensuring duty of care.

Since my departure from the Marine Corps in 2009 I have returned to W. Africa during the ebola crisis in the fall of 2014 for a USAID program as well as a Chief of Party in in Kabul, Afghanistan. From there I was also the author of my first book, The Farah Provincial Handbook. In 2005 I served in Haiti as the Deputy Program Manager for a logistics project in Port au Prince in advent of the elections in 2015.
