Avada WordPress Theme Review 2015

Lots of people ask me “what is the best WordPress theme“? Well, the best I’ve ever come across is the one I’m using on this very site – no coincidence there of course. The Avada WordPress Theme is enormously adaptable and – vitally – with the best support I’ve ever experienced in any field, on or offline. It really is no wonder it’s the most popular WordPress theme out there in 2015.

Avada is the holy grail – a simple WordPress theme that can be as flexible as you want it to be. Just take a look at the Avada Theme example sites below and you’ll be impressed by what can be achieved, without any working knowledge of web code.

Avada is a multipurpose theme that could prove to be as revolutionary as WordPress itself was all those years ago when it came out. You can use it to build all sorts of different looking sites in different niches. The developers have really pushed the boat out here. If you’ve been looking for a WordPress theme to master and really specialise in, this is probably it.

Truly it should go without saying that all website themes should be responsive in this day and age – that is, designed to look good on computers, tablets and phones. Avada actually gives you the option to make your site responsive, with a (puzzling!) opton to leave it fixed as well. You also get the option to leave the site as a fixed layout when viewed in portrait on an ipad, which you won’t find on many themes.
Additionally, as well as the powerful options & tools, unlimited designs and  responsive framework, Avada has introduced some amazing demo sites that you can import and adapt for your particular niche; all for free and all available at the click of a link. As they explain it:

There are so many different ways to change Avada that it would take a book to go into all of them, and no doubt one day that book will appear. You’ve got full use of Google fonts, and massive styling sections (see pics below) that allow you to change pretty much anything you like. If I had a criticism of this, I’d say there’s an element of overkill here, but I guess it’s horses for courses and some designers will find a use for almost anything. Perfect, of course, for those clients who want it “just so”.

I could go on and on- there are loads of Avada theme options. Realistically, you won’t need most of them for most sites but they are all there if you do.

Fusion Builder – A Revolution In Page Layout and Functionality

One of the most revolutionary leaps forward with Avada is the Fusion Builder – just watch the video above to get a glimpse of the amazing power of this page builder – it allows you to produce fantastic looking pages and layouts in minutes – stuff that used to take me days and weeks back in the old days of using Dreamweaver, and even WordPress. Avada really is a revolution in this respect – you just drag and drop elements into a page, and then get to style each individual element if you want to.

There’s so much to say about Fusion Builder in Avada, particularly if, like me, you remember the old days of styling columns and boxes etc with CSS – and just how long it took. Now I’m not personally a fan of sliders, but I know a lot of people like them and right now they’re really trendy. Avada delivers heavily on that front too: it comes ready to use with Fusion Slider, Revolution Slider, Layer Slider WP and Elastic Slider.

Premium WordPress Themes

Now, Avada is a premium WordPress theme, which means it’s not free. But at only $58, it could be the best money you’ve ever spent and it’s a fraction of what it would cost you to get the site done by a professional web design company (such as ours! I’m doing myself out of money here!!).

The Avava license is for one site only, so if you want to build three sites using it, then you’ll need three separate licenses. It’s a shame, but you can’t really blame them – I’m more than happy to shell out each time I build a new site using Avada, just for the time and effort it saves me.

Avada Theme Examples Showcase

I’ve put together a gallery of some websites I’ve found on the net as an Avada Theme showcase, just so you can see the sheer versatility of design you can get using this theme. Here are the Avada theme examples. Just for clarity, these are not sites I’ve put together or indeed had anything to do with, they’re just random examples to show you the potential of Avada.

Avada Theme Support

Just to be clear, I don’t work for Avada and this isn’t a review copy)! I only mention this, because the next bit of my review is about as gushing as I can be about anything. Avada theme support is the best I’ve ever experienced. All email enquiries are answered within 24 hours (or at least they have been with me) and all have involved the Avada support team going into admin (with my express permission) and either sorting out the problem or telling me  how to sort it, whichever is better.

These ‘problems’ by the way, have tended to be me asking about layout issues – I’ve yet to find any problem of any other kind.

Not only that, but underneath each support ticket response is a link you can click to rate the Avada response. One time I click that it wasn’t very good (mainly because I hadn’t phrased the question properly if I’m honest) and without me asking, a second member of support went in and looked at the situation again. This is above and beyond the call of duty and I only hope they can keep this level of service up when they inevitably expand, as it’s verging on astonishing compared to the support you get with other premium WordPress themes (and don’t even get me started on free WordPress themes!).
